Under support from Seafood Industry Tasmania, Sub Sea Sonics developed a new line handling system for popup gear based on the highly reliable "Recue Throw-Bag" concept. This system integrates a line storage system with a floatation buoy in a heavy-duty, two-compartment canvas bag. The system can be used with any of our PUPFish release units. The system has been demonstrated successfully with traditional beehive-style lobster pots in Tasmania, but can be used on almost any style of fishing trap as well as non-fishing applications.
