Release Link for use with the AR-50 acoustic release, TR-45 timer release, and TR-45-Popup timer release. LK-81-Ni is made with high nickle content wire alloy. Slower to release, but withstands more load (vs. LK-41-Ni). The nickle alloy links are prefered for reducing environments in the water column or near the seafloor where stainless steel may be subject to natural corrosion.

Load limit of LK-81-Ni: 80 lb (36 kg) plus a 40 lb surge.
Hoop size: Large enough to pass a 1/8 inch diameter line.
Wire metal: Proprietary, highly corrosion resistant.
Use: Replaceable release link for use with AR-50 acoustic release, TR-45 timer release, and TR-45-Popup timer release.
Method of release: Electrolytic erosion of metal at exposed points.
Hoop construction wire diameter (excluding paint): 0.035 inch (0.89 mm).
Release Times: 4 minute @ 21°C (70°F); 6 minute @ 5°C (41°F); 7 minute @ 0°C (32°F)
